For the background information on these superhero line of briefs from Pulse Underwear see the Robin Brief review. I didn't expect these briefs to be that much different from the Robin briefs but it turned out that the Batman Briefs are substantially different in cut and material from the Robin Briefs. The synthetic mesh material is the same for the main body but the front pouch is an opaque silver instead of transparent with slightly less stretch to it. The cut of the brief is more full than the Robin brief and the sizing seems to run larger than normal, you could easily wear the small if you normally wear a medium. The pouch on these briefs is more agressively styled than the Robin briefs with a fairly deep shape that does not include a functional fly.


The Grades:

Fit:	B	These aren't a bad cut but the fit feels loose and not quite as supportive as I'd like.
Design:	A	The metallic front is a nice effect and the bright primary blue with black contrast piping works well.
Material:	A	Although very thin, the material is comfortable.
Construction:	A	Overall quality is very good if not likely to hold up with lots of wear.
Overall Grade:	B
Would I buy another pair? No, There's just something about the cut of these briefs that differs significantly from the Robin briefs to the point that although I'd buy another pair of the Robin, I would not buy another pair of the Batman. I have a strong feeling that if I had ordered these in a small I might have a better impression of the fit.
