Jockey Elance Bikini Review
Underwear Guy Review: Jockey Elance BikiniDesigner/Manufacturer: Jockey
Website: www.jockey.com
Price: $12.00 (sold in packs of 3 in solid colors and patterns)

Jockey is one of those classic men’s underwear manufacturers
like Fruit of the Loom and Hanes that has held strong for decades. Jockey bikinis
were one of my first non tighty-whitey underwear choices and later they become
a regular staple in my underwear rotation through high-school. Many of the
Jockey design staples have remained nominally unchanged over the course of
their production and these classic bikinis do not seem to have been altered by
one stitch from the original pairs I wore years ago. For kicks and for review
purposes I decided to try them out again when I saw them on the store shelves
and they were having the seasonal 25% off sale. Just like the originals I wore
years ago, there is a small black Jockey logo tag on the front, seams on each
side and thin fabric covered elastic for the legs and waist. The material is
the same very thin and medium-stretch cotton blend available in solid colors
and prints in 3-packs. There certainly is a nostalgia factor in trying out these
style of bikinis once again and they aren’t bad for the low price but with my
more sophisticated tastes in clothing now, these just don’t make it to the top
of the ratings for underwear. The comfort factor in the design just doesn’t
seem to be there, the lack of a pouch leads to a more constricted feeling up
front and the material feels cheap. There are better offerings for inexpensive
bikini-style underwear out there from Target and Wal-Mart so I would say only
buy these if you are a die-hard Jockey fan.
| Fit: | B- | Nice, but not really very comfortable and fit is a bit tight overall. |
| Design: | B- | Just your basic bikini brief, nothing wrong with basics but the design doesn’t create the most flattering of looks. |
| Material: | B- | Super thin cotton gives a somewhat cheap feeling although this wouldn’t be bad during warmer seasons. |
| Construction: | A- | Overall quality is good if not amazing, no bad seams or stray threads are evident. |
| Overall Grade: | C+ |

Would I buy another pair? No, there were 3 in the pack already and I don’t plan on wearing the other two so this was just a good exercise in what not to buy in the future. |

Interesting site. I actually like the Jockey bikinis in the summer because of how thin, airy and soft the cotton is. These are also great for backpacking because of how light weight they are.
I do wish they were a little fuller cut.

These were the first "fashion" briefs I ever wanted. For a while, they were my exclusives. I still think they are some of the hottest looking underwear out there. But now you can buy Jockey's Life branded ones at Wal-Mart in a much wider variety of colors, in larger quantities, for cheaper. I wear the Life ones a fair amount, and rarely the Elances.
