BodyAware Booty2 Short Review

Underwear Guy Review: BodyAware Booty2 Short
Designer/Manufacturer: BodyAware

Price: $17.00

So far I’ve reviewed mostly mainstream underwear brands but for this review, I am featuring undergear from a smaller lesser known label: BodyAware. I typically prefer mostly “standard” underwear cuts like briefs and trunks so a lot of BodyAware’s “wares” are a little too close to the “novelty” range to hold my interest as a potential purchase. One style that did catch my eye was the Booty2 short which is an updated design from the original Booty short that did not have a pouch. The style is best described as a gym short styled squarecut made out of a comfortable terry cloth. There are three colors available: pink, gray and navy blue but be warned that BodyAware often has a very limited inventory so your preferred color/size combination may be back-ordered. The terry cloth fabric is thin but comfortable with a decent amount of stretch. I like the overall design which has a sporty look to it with the number “68” applied on the left leg and the extra-wide waistband which fits true-to-size. The legs do not have elastic in them so it does qualify as a short, albeit a very “brief” short. The rear of this brief has a center seam and because of the tight cut you will find the back to be very form-fitting which could be good or bad depending on your style preference. The only real flaw in this short is the pouch: it’s on the small side and definitely feels tight while you’re wearing it.

The Grades:
Fit: A- Most of this short works out well on the fit although the front pouch isn’t for everyone with a tight fit that might feel a bit too constraining for some.
Design: A I give a lot of credit for the unique design which isn’t duplicated in any other manufacturer. The sport look is fun and the detailing and proportions are well thought-out.
Material: A

I like the uniqueness of the fabric which provides some variety from the typical cotton/spandex or nylon blends you’ll find in regular underwear.

Construction: A

No problem seams or loose threads, overall construction quality from BodyAware is usually good.

Overall Grade: A-

A fun short to try out and use for loungewear or underwear the Booty2 is worth a try at a very reasonable price.

Would I buy another pair? Yes, I think there’s enough wear-ability and uniqueness to the design that I wouldn’t mind owning another pair.
