Life Underwear Euro Trunk Review
Underwear Guy Review: Life Underwear Euro Trunk Designer/Manufacturer: Life Underwear

When I bought the Life Underwear Sculptured Pouch Trunk recently I also saw
these Euro Trunks sold on hangers next to the boxed Life Underwear and thought
I’d try them out. As I understand the marketing, Life Underwear sells the “Euro”
line as a more fashion-conscious sub-brand which explains why they are sold on
a different display rather than in the traditional plastic boxes. The only
packaging/branding associated with the underwear in-store was a metallic Life
Underwear tag with the “Euro Trunk” designation. Interestingly, this particular trunk is not listed on the Life Underwear website. As with all Life underwear you
have to buy these at Wal-Mart since they are the exclusive retail outlet for
this Jockey Underwear brand. The trunk is made from a synthetic
polyester/spandex blend that has a slight sheen to it but is not as shiny as
the microfiber sculptured pouch collection. The fabric has quite a bit of stretch to it and is light-weight but still feels very durable. The design of the vertical stripes on the front
and back legs are accomplished with pieced and sewn panels (not a print) so there is more
work and design put into these trunks than the regular Life Underwear. Besides the red and gray color option highlighted in this review I have seen one other option which is a medium-blue and gray stripe combination. I liked
the fabric-covered 1" waistband which fit true to size at a medium for myself. On the interior-back of the waistband is the tag which consolidates the logo, fabric content and wash/care instructions on a flat-sewn 2" wide by 1" tall nylon fabric rectangle. Interestingly
these are only available in M, L and XL, omitting Small as a size option. The
front pouch is not as shaped as the sculptured line but it works well to
support and doesn’t feel too tight. The material is fairly thin so the
thankfully it’s doubled in the front panels.
| The Grades: |
| Fit: | A | Great overall fit, nothing feels too tight and the pattern cut is well proportioned from front to back. |
| Design: | A | The colors are nicely saturated and the vertical panels create nice design lines along the legs. |
| Material: | A | The polyester blend stretches nicely but maintains its shape and feels soft to the touch. |
| Construction: | A | Very good seams, straight lines and no loose threads make for a high-quality pair of underwear. |
| Overall Grade: | A | This is a short review because these trunks work so well, hitting high marks across the board. |
| Would I buy another pair? Definitely yes. I like the cut, the colors and the fit so I would buy another pair and can recommend them to others looking for a fashionable pair of underwear that are also very affordable. | ||
