Known mostly for their extreme style thongs and briefs, Male Power has been designing and manufacturing men’s underwear for many years, pre-dating the current Men’s Underwear explosion. Male Power recently released a more traditionally styled line of underwear available in sock, thong, jock, boxer-brief, brief and mini-short styles. I found the mini-short an interesting design with a low-rise, very short leg in the front that shortens to a brief in the back and decided to try it out. The fabric is a stretchy 95% cotton, 5% lycra spandex that is soft to the touch and very comfortable. The entire line is available in a variety of solid colors including Red, Blue, Light Blue and Black and White. As with most Male Power underwear the pouch is fairly large and aggressively styled which leaves ample room that provides support and shapes well. The pouch is dual-layered which helps the otherwise thinner material from becoming too revealing. The elastic waistband has some nicely subtle styling with color stripes and repeating “Male Power” text. These mini shorts are comfortable and fit true-to-size with the mediums working very well for myself. As mentioned earlier the style of these mini-shorts is interesting with a very short inseam in the front that provides the look of a short but then the legs shorten around the back to a brief style. The back has a center seam that accentuates your backside although it can cause a bit of riding up. Overall the pattern and cut works well with a high degree of comfort and style combined.  

The Grades:

Fit:	A	Partly thanks to the superior material, the cut and style fit of these mini shorts is excellent with no binding or tightness in any of typical trouble areas such as the pouch and the legs.
Design:	A	Although the rest of the lineup is more traditional, this particular cut gets higher marks in the design category for the unique style. The color choices are nicely saturated and provide some decent choices.
Material:	A	I really liked the material, it had the smooth finish of a synthetic fabric while maintaining the natural feel of cotton.
Construction:	A	Excellent construction marks for Male Power’s clean seams and even stitching these briefs hold up well to daily wear.
Overall Grade:	A	I’m glad I tried these mini shorts as these turned out to be an excellent addition to my underwear lineup.
Would I buy another pair? Yes I liked these enough that I could see myself ordering another pair in the same style and try out some of the other styles in the lineup as well.
