C-in2 Bamboo Slider Brief Review
Underwear Guy Review: C-in2 Bamboo Slider Brief with Trophy

On some websites you’ll find this line also referred to as Mesh Bamboo which is accurate as the bamboo fabric is extremely thin and knit in a way that it has micro-holes creating a mesh. The fabric blend is 98% bamboo and 2% spandex which is very flexible, extremely stretchable and very soft to the touch. The downside to this material is its extreme thinness which, coupled with the single-layer pouch, results in some very revealing outlines for your package. The sizing on the bamboo line is true-to-size with the mediums fitting nicely. The waistband on the Rumba color (as well as the contrast piping) is a gray/navy color and has a very soft brushed microfiber interior facing with the C-in2 logo repeated around. The manufacturer’s information and care label is a striking metallic color sewn flat across the back interior waistband seam. The bamboo line is marketed with the inclusion of a “Trophy Shelf” design meant to replicate the look of a c-ring without the straps or sling. I wouldn’t call the design particularly revolutionary like the AussieBum Wonderjock as the shaping is not due to any specific mechanism but what’s been done is still interesting nevertheless. The lower curve of the pouch is accentuated by two very small “pleats” on each side that create more of a cup shape than a regular underwear pouch. Those pleats help to lift your package out for a more pronounced shape. The pouch design is a bit unusual in that it tends to create a narrow shape from the front view but a lot of enhancement from the side view. Overall I’d recommend the AussieBum Wonderjock for best package enhancement over the C-in2 Trophy Shelf but this brief is still very comfortable to wear for several types of activities.
| The Grades: |
| Fit: | A | The high-cut legs and the thin stretchable fabric make for an easy-wear fit and the soft texturizing on the waistband feels high-end and durable. This is a very versatile design that will work well for a variety of daily activities. | Pouch Fit |
| Design: | A- | The use of the bamboo fabric is innovative and seems to be more than a gimmick with a uniquely soft and smooth feel. The Trophy Shelf design is a mixed bag with some noticeable enhancement without a sling although the regular C-in2 low no show briefs accomplish nearly the same job at shaping without the pleats and at a lower price. | |
| Material: | A | Although in the long term I might worry about the durability of the mesh bamboo fabric, I would say that it’s a great alternative to the other cotton and synthetic blends on the market. |
|
| Construction: | A | C-in2 has always produced quality undergarments and the bamboo line follows suit with solidly constructed seams, clean lines and excellent stitching. |
|
| Overall Grade: | A | If you’re looking for the most enhancing underwear on the market I would
suggest the AussieBum Wonderjocks. If you are looking for a great fitting
regular brief in a minimal cut then I can solidly recommend the C-in2 bamboo
slider brief.

Would I buy another pair? Yes, I liked the first pair enough that I bought another one in black. |

I have the vanilla off-white in these and I am not in a position to compare them to Aussiebum's Wornderjock as I do not own a pair but this much I can say: these are great to wear on an extremely hot summer day when you need support and full coverage with minimum fabric and would like to keep cool without having to wear loose fitting boxer shorts and deal with all the bunching that can result from that. They are lightweight and really keep you comfortable on a hot day.
I like the side profile that you get from wearing these but the view from the front gives your package on odd appearance in an attempt to "enhance" it. The trophy shelf seems like a good idea but it doesn't work for me so in that sense I guess other package enhancement underwear such as the Wonderjock that is suggested in this review is probable better.
