N2N Bodywear has been at the forefront of men’s underwear innovation and style with their daring cuts, extreme profiles and exotic material blends. Specializing in a full range of gear including a regularly updated line of swimwear, workout gear, underwear and intimate wear, N2N Bodywear has almost every possible activity covered with their clothing line. This review covers a staple of the N2N underwear inventory: the Boxster brief from the Tropic line. The Tropic line is a special blend of 92% rayon and 8% spandex that is very smooth, soft and comfortable. There is a lot of stretch allowed in the material which makes for a comfortable lounging and sleepwear underwear choice. This review shows an earlier color option that is no longer available but the cut and material is the same in what is now offered in bright blue, coral and purple as well as white. The fabric is quite thin so modesty could be an issue with the single-layer wraparound style covering both back and front. The boxster cut as the name implies isn’t really a brief or a boxer as it has enough of a leg with 1” folded-over bands to be called a boxer but an extreme low-rise indicative of a brief. N2N Bodywear is known for extreme styling and you will want to be aware that the boxster style plunges down significantly in the front and just barely covers your backside although the back coverage on these boxsters is more complete than many of N2N Bodywear’s other designs. Although lacking a structured pouch, the material stretches to create a natural pouch that is very comfortable and actually quite good in the support and shaping department. The waistband is fully-covered elastic at ¾” tall and the boxster fits true-to-size with the mediums working well for a 32-34” waist. There is a very minimal wash/care tag on the interior back which is a nice change of pace from some of the truly large labels being put to use on other brands. The legs bands are non elasticized and rely on the stretch of the material to hold which seems to work just fine. The construction of the boxster style is accomplished with just 3 seams: 1 on each side and one at the middle base which makes for a very sleek and minimalist look that works well.
The Grades:
Fit:
A
Interestingly this is a case where the lack of pouch contributes to a good fit thanks to the high-degree of stretch allowed by the material.
Design:
A
I think for the purpose of variety and innovation the boxster cut is an interesting design and the unusual color choices are certainly different from the standard black and white.
Material:
A+
This material is really comfortable and great for loungewear and sleepwear.
Construction:
A
Very clean seams and excellent construction make for a high-quality look and feel to these briefs.
Overall Grade:
A-
I want to be very clear that I am giving a high-grade but with specific use recommendations. I’m not convinced these are the best all-day wear briefs nor are they necessarily good for sports or work. The material isn’t really durable enough for a lot of rough wear and the cut may not be practical for a lot of activities. Where I think this is a great brief is as a loungewear or sleepwear choice and maybe light all-day wear.
Would I buy another pair? Yes, the comfort factor makes it worthwhile to own a couple pairs in some other colors.
Where To Buy:

Thanks for the review! I was thinking of getting a pair of these. Do you think you could review some more of n2n's products? Reply to this
