To prevent myself from repeating information too much, you can read the intro piece for the Pulse Underwear of the Month concept in the Brief version of this line here. There are 3 trunk styles to choose from for the December Pulse Underwear release: one that is mostly white, one that is white with wide black stripes on the legs and this one which is a little different in that it is mostly white but with black side patch-pockets sewn on the sides of both legs. These trunks are made from a very comfortable 95% cotton 5% lycra blend which has a good amount of stretch and a nice medium-weight that helps preserve modesty given that the front pouch is single-layer. The waistband is a slim cut at a little under 1” tall and is fabric-covered in the front but exposed on the interior. The interior of the elastic waist is microfiber and texturized which makes for a comfortable wearing experience. Pulse Underwear items typically fit true-to-size and these trunks in a medium worked out well for myself. You will want to keep in mind that the trunks from Pulse Underwear are very form-fitting (although not overly tight in anyway) similar to Mundo Unico underwear which has the upside of being very supportive and body-conscious. Luckily the cut of the backside of these trunks is such that you do not experience any significant amount of “riding up” so these will definitely work for all-day wear. The legs on the side extend down to 7 ½” including the waistband with an inseam of about 3 ½”. Just like the brief there is black contrast stitching used for both function and design with stitches running around the leg-bands, on the back center seams and around the front pouch. The pouch for this trunk is well-designed with a good design for shape and support that reminds me a bit of the Mundo Unico pouch design. The side-pockets on the legs are functional at 4” deep by 4” wide and detailed with a black screen print snowflake that is subtle but still visible due to the contrast in finish with the shiny ink showing up against the matte black fabric.

The Grades:

Fit:	A	As long as you keep in mind these are form-fitting designs I believe you’ll enjoy the wearability of the Pulse Underwear trunk items.
Design:	A	I picked these trunks out for the unique pocket design which although mostly decorative is fun and a little more unique for underwear. Overall the December snowflake theme works well and is a nice addition to the other months created so far.
Material:	A	I was happy with this month’s choice of a cotton lycra blend and it works well with the pattern to provide good fit and feel for the trunk.
Construction:	A	Nothing to complain about on the construction with clean seams, good cuts on the fabric and straight stitching.
Overall Grade:	A	For a little variation in the underwear design drawer these worked out well and should be a good choice for beyond just December.
Would I buy another pair? Yes I would, particularly with the differences in designs offered in the other trunks from December.
