Every once in a while I find a pair of underwear that I really look forward to being able to wear despite the broad variety of choices I have available to me. These Go Softwear Bikini Briefs have been some of my favorite underwear options for quite a while and I realized it’s long overdue that I highlight them in a review. These blue bikinis are actually from an earlier release of the line and are labeled on the fabric tag as 90% cotton 10% lycra but I also have the newer ones which list the content 46% Rayon, 46% Polyester and 8% lycra. I can’t tell if this was a production issue with the labels being incorrect on the earlier release or if they truly changed the material but luckily the overall composition and feel is almost the same between the two. Although the colors have changed over time the styling has remained the same and they are one of my top picks for men’s underwear. Unlike some of Go Softwear’s other lines these fit true-to-size with the mediums working well for a standard waist range of around 32” to 34”. There’s a lot of stretch allowed in the material which feels great when new but gets even better with multiple wash and wear cycles. The design is fairly basic with a covered 1” elastic waistband but the ½” textured contrast piping adds a nice sporty look. On the inside-back of the waistband is a 2 ¼” wide by 1” tall Go Software logo label with an attached 1 ½” tall by 1” wide wash/care tag. The back is full coverage and the sides taper down to a minimal ¾” (not including waistband). Although this featured color of blue is no longer in production the current lineup sports a similar light blue, purple-pink and light brown each with a different color for the piping (instead of a lighter tint) which is new for ‘08. A quick check online reveals that the original color lineup is still available at many online retailers, so you have quite a few options when purchasing. The front is single-layer and although completely opaque it can be somewhat revealing given the thinness of the fabric so you may want to consider that a factor in terms of modesty. The front is a relatively basic center-seam design pouch but thanks to the material it’s comfortable and supportive.
| Fit: | A | The cut of these bikinis is basic but nicely thought-out with no riding up in the back, good freedom of movement in the legs and a very wearable front pouch. |
| Design: | A | Although not too complex in the design department what is here works well. The classic cut with the textured contrast piping is sporty and sleek. |
| Material: | A+ |
Whether a labeling issue or a change in fabric composition both the original line and the current release are very comfortable and great for all types of wearing situations. |
| Construction: | A |
The seams on these Go Softwear bikinis are nicely accomplished with straight lines and no loose threads evident. Despite the thinner fabric these have held up well over time. |
| Overall Grade: | A |
These are some of my favorite underwear items to wear throughout the day so I’m going with a high-mark A grade. |

Would I buy another pair? Yes, I have several pairs of these in a variety of colors both from the original line and the newer releases. | ||

Where To Buy:
There are a fair number of places stocking this line in both the new and older colors. You can always order direct from Go Software at GoSoftwear.com: Product Page, as well as WildmanT: Product Page, ABCUnderwear.com: Product Page, TopDrawers.com: Product Page, Erogenos.com: Product Page and NuWear.com: Product Page where you can find previous color releases.

I have a few pair of these low-rise briefs also and strongly believe that this is one of GoSoftwear's best products. These briefs are fashionable, comfortable, sexy, and great for everyday wear, especially during the summer months when thin, light-weight material is important.
