2Xist Thong Review

Underwear Guy Review: 2Xist Thong
Designer/Manufacturer: 2Xist
Website: www.2xist.com
Price: $10.00

After reviewing the C-In2 thong it seemed like a natural follow-up to review the 2Xist y-back thong. The 2Xist brand has been a men's underwear fashion pioneer since its founding in 1991 when it entered the market with a core line of t-shirts, boxer-briefs, briefs, sport briefs, and this thong which has remained a 2Xist standard throughout the years with just some minor updates on the design. The 2Xist core line is labeled as the 3100 range and consists of a 100% cotton fabric available in just the basic colors of black and white. The sizing of 2Xist underwear is generally true-to-size although I found that because the elastic of this waistband doesn't have a lot of stretch to it, the feeling was a bit on the tighter side. The waistband is not uncomfortable but I just wanted to flag that for anyone who might fall on the upper range of a given size e.g. closer to a 33" - 34" waist on a medium considering that I fall an the lower range of a medium at 32". The waistband is fairly large at 1 1/2" tall with dark gray 2Xist logos repeated front to back. The interior of the waistband has a texturized microfiber facing which helps with comfort and softness. The 2Xist logo tag in the back is a very minimal 1 1/4" wide by 3/4" tall nylon fabric with a small side tag attached on the right side to note size and wash/care instructions. The back of this thong is a y-strap design with 1/2" wide all-cotton fabric composing the two diagonal straps and the base which attaches to the pouch in front. The straps are comfortable and easy enough to wear all-day -for anyone who is not as accustomed to thongs this would make for a good introduction. The pouch is composed of single-layer cotton which is thinner than I would personally like but overall it is well-designed with good support and a cut that helps to lift and accentuate your package while still providing ample room up-front. The edges of the pouch are finished with 1/2" of the cotton fabric folded-over and sewn flat.

The Grades:
Fit: A- For the most part the fit on this thong was good with the pouch providing a nice amount of structured lift and the y-back straps cut to the right length. The waist sizing is just slightly on the snug side so keep that in mind when purchasing. Pouch Fit
Regular
Design: A- I would really like to see some other color choices in the 2Xist thong cut but the design is functional, sporty and masculine so a positive score here.
Material: B+

I would have liked a slightly thicker cotton for the base material given that it's single-layer in the pouch but otherwise this is a good material for underwear.

Construction: A+

The construction on this thong was very good with straight lines on the stitching, no loose threads and strong seams.

Overall Grade: A-

Overall this is a very good underwear offering from 2Xist that hits all the good points for a thong with a nice pouch and easy-to-wear back.

Would I buy another pair? Yes, I wouldn't mind adding another 2Xist thong to my underwear collection even though I'd love more color options at least I can try the black version.

The one thing I have a problem with is where the strap meets the "pouch". The seam is sewn together with the pouch and it creates a knot. This is right where your "taint" is and it takes some time to get used to. Personally, I really love the CK brand of thongs. I have the steel and the body and both are extremely comfortable and doesn't have the "knot". I also have a pair of the RIPS brand of thong and it has the same situation as the 2(x)ist. Haven't tried any others yet.
Also, how many of you guys talk to your buddies about your underwear? I was reading another site where some guys who were straight, knew their other buddies wore thongs also. No one knows, but my wife, and she hates them so I have to keep it a "secret".
Great site! Keep up the good work.
