the way around. As to be expected there is a very soft microfiber textured facing on the interior of the waistband which keeps the garment comfortable throughout an entire day. The logo/care tag on the interior-back of the waistband is a bit different from the usual C-In2 design as it is a reflective 3" wide by 3/4" tall tag sewn flat. This tag is replaced in the new colors released for 2008 with the more traditional white C-In2 fabric tags which is an unfortunate change as I really like the distinctive design of the original tag The leg-bands of the jock are a very soft microfiber texturized elastic that are comfortable and yet durable at the same time. The leg-bands are fairly thick at 3/4" wide, are double-stiched to the waistband and securely bound to the base of the pouch. The pouch is nicely accented with black 1/4" reinforced elastic piping on the sides and in my experience the "Trophy-Shelf" design actually functions a bit better in the jock than the Slider. The Trophy-Shelf concept is simply a couple of pleats sewn into the shape of the pouch at the base which creates a better lift for shape and contouring. In the Slider version of the bamboo line the pouch seems to drop your package a bit low creating a good side profile but a not so great front profile. You can really see this effect when viewing Undergear model James Guardino's profile when he wore the Slider brief for a past catalog (photo at right). The slight issues with the pouch design on the slider brief do not seem to be present with the jock. Perhaps because of the structural changes required for a jock design the pouch works well all-around with a good amount of support and shaping. Is the enhancement as effective as some other methods like the AussieBum Wonderjock or the C-In2 sling? I would say no but it's better than wearing non-enhancer underwear.
| The Grades: |
| Fit: | A | I liked the fit design of this jock very much with its great waistband and better than average pouch. The wide leg-bands are strong yet stretchable enough to not dig in too much on the backside. | Pouch Fit |
| Design: | A | There are now quite a few color options as the discontinued Rumba line will take a while to cycle out and the contrast piping combined with the bold logos on the waistband feel very modern and sporty as well. | |
| Material: | A | I commented on my Slider review that I would be a little concerned about the long-term durability of the bamboo mesh considering how thin it is. I've had this jock for a while and it seems to have held up well and the soft texture combined with the stretch is definitely worth the price. |
|
| Construction: | A | I'm typically impressed with C-In2's construction quality and this jock continues that performance with very good seams that are neatly sewn and no loose threads were evident when I first purchased this item. |
|
| Overall Grade: | A | If you're looking for a comfortable jock to wear during active times or warm weather this is a good choice since it is light yet supportive and you'll feel like you have next-to-nothing on while wearing it. |
|
Would I buy another pair? Yes, I would consider another bamboo jock particularly in one of the alternate colors. |

Great review and a great jock. I have one of these myself and I agree that it's great all-day wear.

Agree with reviewer. This is one of the best jocks ever produced. The design and fabric are perfect for all day wear that doesn't bind or get too tight over time. I have three and wear them on a regular basis.

Great review! I've been interested in trying out the bamboo line myself, and haven't bought any yet. But I hear a lot of positive things about them. I'll be curious to see how durable they turn out to be, since you mentioned the thin fabric.
