2Xist Fusion Sport Brief Review

Underwear Guy Review: 2Xist Fusion Sport Brief
Designer/Manufacturer: 2Xist
Website: www.2xist.com
Price: $14.00

Over the past year 2Xist has continued to diversify its product lineup with a mix of new fabrics, colors and cuts introduced through new ranges including the Track, Liquid Cotton and this review's highlight: Fusion. The Fusion line is dubbed by 2Xist as a performance underwear range with a 52% polyester and 48% nylon fabric blend woven into a mesh-like texture for breatheability and decent stretch. The Fusion line is available in 3 cuts including a low-rise brief, trunk and this featured sport brief. There are several colors available in the line, all of which are contrasted with a secondary color. The options include dark red, white, green, blue, black and what I purchased which is a tone-on-tone light gray and smoke-gray combination. Although mostly gray, there is still some color introduced into the design with a very bright orange-red stripe on the waistband and contrast stitching on the front pouch down the center seam.

The fit of the Fusion line would appear to be true-to-size with the medium for this sport brief I purchased fitting well for a standard 32-33" waist. The waistband measures 1 3/8" tall and sports a 2Xist logo centered in the front with the sport stripes running all the way around. On the inside of the waistband in the back you'll find the standard wash/care and fabric content tags which measure 1 3/8" tall by 1 5/8" wide for the logo tag and sewn on the side the additional 1 3/8" tall by 1" wide instruction information. The waistband is fairly minimal with a very thin and smooth material weave of microfiber elastic which is nice if you like something with less bulk over some of the other waistbands out there. The back of this sport brief is full coverage with 1/2" contrast leg-bands.The front pouch is standard 2Xist fare so if you are familiar with the standard cotton or Bold lines you'll have a good indicator of the overall fit. The pouch is designed with about an average amount of room although keep in mind this fabric has a limited amount of stretch. The pouch is double-layer material and provides a solid amount of support and shape definition. The front panel measures 7" across at the top and narrows to 3 1/2" at the base.

The Grades:
Fit: A The sport brief cut is typically a more accommodating style to wear since there's less material to cause binding or discomfort. This sport brief was comfortable and supportive offering a free-range of movement for a variety of activities throughout the day. Pouch Fit
Regular
Design: A I found the variety of colors and futuristic-sporty styling unique and fun so I'm pleased with the design thought and consideration invested in this line.
Material: A

Overall this material is great for sports and every-day wear as it feels soft and smooth to the touch while also being durable and flexible.

Construction: A+

My sport brief was precision-made with very clean stitching, good seams and excellent cuts on the fabric.

Overall Grade: A

I was pleased across the board with this brief from its excellent fit to superb design so a high score is awarded.

Would I buy another pair? Yes, the Fusion line seems like a winner and the variety of colors available means you can add more than one Fusion brief to your drawers while still adding variety.

The first pair of these I bought was the black and gray. I liked them so much I bought two more pairs in different colors. I like a low-rise brief with freedom of movement, and these do the job. I have way more underwear than I'll ever need, but these are becoming one of my current favs. That is until something else cool comes out. These are not only good for daily wear but would be suitable for wear under gym shorts. Like most 2(X)ist briefs, the pouch is very comfotable.
