The CockSox item I am reviewing here is the brief style with waistband which is available in a bright red or light blue color made from a combination of 92% supplex and 8% lycra. The fabric is light-weight, soft and very stretchable making for an excellent all-day wearing experience. The waistband is a very smooth microfiber elastic measuring 1 1/4" tall and provides a high-degree of stretch. CockSox underwear sizing is quite different from North American standards with the mediums rated as a 36 inch waist. I wasn't sure how far down to go in sizing so I ordered the small even though it's rated for a 34" waist and I'm more typically a 32". I think for myself it seems like the small size worked out well as an equivalent to a medium. The size and wash/care tags on this brief are a little different in that they are sewn at the base of the waistband in the interior back. The size tag is a small 1/2" X 1/2" square while the care tag is a 3/4" wide by 1 3/4" tall. You will note some minor differences in the waistband style of my brief as this was ordered a while back with the original product introduction so the current version does not have the logo tag sewn flat on the front but instead employs a CockSox logo repeated all the way around.
The back of these briefs is full coverage with covered elastic leg-bands measuring approximately 1/4" wide. The sides are quite narrow measuring 1 1/2" not including the waistband. Probably the biggest question most guys will ask is how does the pouch fit and work on CockSox underwear? I think the best reference to make is that this underwear is similar to the N2N Bodywear Tropic pouch design with a shaped pouch pattern to allow as much up-front room as possible. I ordered the 3.5" pouch version and found it provided ample room up front so I would say if you really want or need a lot of room in the pouch the 4.5" version would fit the bill. If you are more average in the equipment department the snug version can work for you but keep in mind that this is definitely a roomy pouch and if you don't fill it out properly it can tend to look unflattering with extra material loosely bunched up in the center seam. Most of the enhancing effect you'll find is viewable on the side profile more so than in the front view not unlike the C-In2 Bamboo line. I would say this pouch design works best if you don't necessarily already need any enhancement and are just interested in prominently displaying what you've already got. The pouch is single-layer material and since the fabric is already fairly thin you should be aware of visible outlines being possible.
| The Grades: |
| Fit: | A | The slim cut sides and ample pouch room make for an easy to wear cut that works for all sorts of activities. Keep in mind for the best effect you'll definitely want to be confident that you can fit the pouch properly ahead of time otherwise these may not be the best suggestion. | Pouch Fit |
| Design: | B+/A- | The initial two colors available have stayed the same over several years and they are bright and nicely saturated hues. The overall design is minimalist but sleek and modern so a positive score in this category. | |
| Material: | A | The synthetic blend is very smooth and soft to the touch and the stretch is nice for athletic activities. |
|
| Construction: | A+ | The construction of the CockSox underwear I have ordered was excellent with refined stitching, no loose threads and clean cuts of the material |
|
| Overall Grade: | A | If you're interested in a more prominently styled display of pouch underwear CockSox briefs may be your answer. |

Would I buy another pair? I have two pairs and that may be enough for me. I like a little more variety in the design and I'm not sure I'd want to be always employing and extreme-pouch underwear. Nevertheless these are worth a try if you are in the market for something from the anatomical pouch category of underwear. |
