JM Underwear is one of the longer-running high-fashion men's underwear labels on the market with a well-established brand rooted in years of design and production experience and based out of Canada. JM manufactures a very consistent lineup of underwear for both men and women that is marketed based on the fabric type with various cuts and colors available within each line. Unlike many other fashion underwear brands, JM keeps each of their lines around for very long periods of time with today's review: Skinz having been on the for several years. Skinz is one of the signature lines from JM made from a microfiber/spandex mix and available in several cuts including a fitted boxer, low rise boxer, bikini, low rise bikini, long underwear and this review's featured thong cut. Depending on the cut, you'll find a variety of colors are available including bright red, dark red, lime green, tan, blue and of course gray, black and white. As mentioned, the Skinz line is composed of a blend of 86% polyester and 14% spandex which results in a smooth, soft and stretchable material that is ideal for all-day wear underwear. I've found JM underwear sizing to be true-to-size with this thong ordered in a medium fitting nicely.

The waistband is fully covered measuring 1/2" tall and is detailed with a small 1 1/4" wide by 1/2" tall JM logo patch centered in front. The simple JM logo and wash/care instruction tag is attached to the interior-back of the waistband and measures 1" wide by 1 1/8" tall. The tag is composed of a shiny and smooth nylon fabric which adds a high-quality touch to the manufacturing that also improves the wearability of the underwear. The back strap of the thong is reinforced on the edges with covered 1/4" elastic and measures about 2" across at the top of the waistband before tapering down to a little less than 1". The sides of the thong measure a minimal 1 1/4" tall which includes the waistband height. The front pouch is double-layer material which helps to keep things in place as well as prevents excessive see-through. The pouch design is effectively engineered to provide room up front while also providing lift and shaping. I would say this pouch is one of the better designs on the market that creates a flattering profile without the use of straps or pockets.

The Grades:

Fit:	A	I was pleased with the fit of this thong with the strap length not too tight or too loose which gives the pouch a nicely snug but not too tight fit that provides good shaping and support.	Pouch Fit
Design:	B+/A-	JM is known for minimalist designs and this Skinz thong follows that direction with no decoration beyond the JM logo. The clean lines are effective, however, in creating a sporty, high-end quality image for this thong and the extra colors available help to provide some extra options when purchasing.
Material:	A+	The Skinz line fabric is great for all-day and performance wear as it provides just the right amount of material stretch while maintaining a form-fitting, but comfortable fit.
Construction:	A+	JM underwear is typically very nicely constructed and the stitching on my thong was very clean and refined. The edges of the material were very good with no roughness or loose threads to be found.
Overall Grade:	A	The versatility of this thong is a good selling point and I can see this being worn as a great all-day wear item, for running and for going out in the evenings as well.
Would I buy another pair? Yes, this thong has a lot going for it despite the slightly more traditional styling. The fit, construction and material are strong selling points and I'd pick up another pair or two for regular wearing.
