When you hear the name "Nasty Pig" for an underwear line you might conjure up visions of extreme fetish gear in latex and leather but you might not think of a modern, sleek, line of every-day underwear that is the new "Mash Up" line from Nasty Pig. Offered in an attractive array of colors including white, turquoise, bright red, and yellow you'll have no lack of options when you go to buy a pair. These are not solid colors but are instead a base fabric color with a print in black of all the various Nasty Pig logos and types that have been created over the years. The pattern is eye-catching and dynamic which provides something unique to the design. There are 3 cuts of the Mash Up line available including a trunk, full rise brief and low rise brief.
The waistband on the Mash Up line is a sleek design with a smooth interior facing and sports a two-tone black-stripe with bold, metallic silver "Nasty Pig" text running asymmetrically around the waist. The waistband is reminiscent of the CK Steel line waistband with the silver finish elastic. The tag on the interior back of the waistband is 1 3/8" wide by 1" tall with a 3/4" wide by 1" tall side-tab. The back on this low rise brief is full coverage with fully-covered elastic in black contrast fabric measuring 1/2" that works to reinforce the legs. The contrast piping around the front pouch mirrors the leg-bands although there is no functional fly. The pouch on this brief allows for ample room up front with a nice structure that provides a good level of lift and shaping for your package.

This is a great every-day brief with a modern fit that accentuates your shape in the pouch but also provides freedom of movement for a variety of activities. I would say the pouch size falls in the "regular" range but has a nice amount of stretch to accommodate a fairly broad range of guys.

I realize the print design and specific text on the waistband may not appeal to everyone but I like the attitude and unique look. If you want more standard fare underwear you can always go to CK or C-In2. For something with a little more edge then these Nasty Pig Mash Up briefs provide a modern brief with just the right amount of additional style and design to not be boring. The metallic waistband is top-notch and the color options keep things fun.

The material is a great blend that feels very smooth and soft which makes for a superior wearing experience during a variety of activities.

Overall the construction on this brief was very good with clean seams and straight stitching. The only thing holding back the full "A" score is the fairly rough finishing of the fabric edges where the waistband is sewn.

I wasn't sure what to expect since this is my first Nasty Pig purchase but I was pleasantly surprised at the fit, finish and feel of this brief.
Would I buy another pair? Yes, I would definitely consider another Mash Up brief from Nasty Pig given the great fabric and fun design that pushes a few edges from the normal standard brief.
