Hey now, I have to disagree with some of these comments. I have gone through many of these briefs in the past few years, and you are correct about the durability issue. However, I have found them to be really comfortable for hot, sweaty days of sporting activities or laboring in the heat. They never get soaking wet or feel wet, wick moisture away and provide adequate chaffing protection and support. I think there are other garments that are more attractive in the bedroom. And yes, nothing feels better out on the town on a hot summers night!

Your review is spot on! I've gone through a lot of different high priced brands to try and find a comfortable, all day fit and these Hanes "strings" are it. I have a similar build to the model above with minimal space between my thighs (no room for bulky excess fabric). I used to wear Mansilk briefs, but their longevity for every day use isn't great for the money. I only hope that Hanes keeps making them! They could probably sell more if they dropped the word "string" and replaced it with something like "athletic" or "active" cut.

I am not surprised at your review. I have bought a few pairs of Undergear branded underwear and you are right you get what you pay for. Their underwear is plain cheap and of low-quality, not to mention the uncomfortable fit. I avoid Undergear stuff even when it looks good on the model. They are the least worn underwear I own.

Here's the sad reality about Andrew Christian... the designs are cute, even if original and copied by others, or borrowed from the start. Most are not cut well -- they are styled like the briefs we can buy in 6-packs at Costco. The support straps in some models are the cheapest ever -- don't expect them to support you long. The worst part of swim trunks -- FLATTENED crotch. There is NO room; the suit is cut like it should be for women. Adding a simple white cross to an all black spandex box-cut does not a $39 suit make. Boo Andrew Christian!

Great review! I've been interested in trying out the bamboo line myself, and haven't bought any yet. But I hear a lot of positive things about them. I'll be curious to see how durable they turn out to be, since you mentioned the thin fabric.

Sure the underwear is cute but the customer service is the most inept I've dealt with in quite some time.

When my order shipped I DIDN'T get an email with the tracking number. I had to call and they said they would email it to me promptly. 4 hours later sure enough I still hadn't gotten the promised email and just made them read the tracking number to me over the phone.

Now due to a mix-up that wasn't their fault my order got shipped to the wrong address. When the package bounced and returned to their warehouse I promptly got an email saying "please let us know your correct address and we'll send it right back out." So I immediately hit "reply" as the email instructed and gave them the correct address. For the next FOUR DAYS I called, left messages for, faxed and emailed customer service agent Courtney McBride asking if they had received my correct address and if the order had re-shipped yet. Not a single email or voicemail sent to Andrew Christian was ever answered and after those four days had passed I was finally told my order had re-shipped when I made my daily phone call to micro-manage their idiotic customer service agents.

Tips for dealing with Andrew Christian...

- only call them since emails, faxes and voicemails will all be ignored
- when you call if Courtney McBride answers, hang up and call back
- the only way anything will get done is if you micro-manage them
- the only way you will get a tracking number is if you ask for one

Agree with reviewer. This is one of the best jocks ever produced. The design and fabric are perfect for all day wear that doesn't bind or get too tight over time. I have three and wear them on a regular basis.
